Punch happy – paper tags ‘n more

Oct 21, 2016

Hey again,

I hope your crafting has been keeping you all busy, ours sure have been…

So as promised, this post goes out to our punch collection. Let’s spruce up those gifts for that someone special, parties, scrap booking & quite literally life in general ;)

They are fun and easy to use. Either hand write your gift tags or create something with a font you like on a word document, print, punch et voilà! Why not combine with some pretty ribbon or some rustic twisted string to make them pop.

To create the two looks below I’ve used two of our popular punches, the Luggage Tag Punch & the Victorian Label Punch.

I’ve designed the first look with Halloween in mind & if you have kids and have decided to invite their friends over for a night of scares, why not create individual spooky treat bags. Glassine bags are great for this (available in three different sizes), fill them up with an assortment of creepy sweets (you can even buy edible gooey eyeballs now), tie them up with some string, a name tag and you’re party favours are good to go.

The Victorian Label Punch is a little softer and perfect for place cards at a little birthday party. Team them up with our pretty in pink set of Yay candles, oh so scrumptious napkins and very cute paper straws and you have one gloriously exciting party on your hands :)

Ps.

If there is anything you aren’t able to find on our website –  mydiyday.com get in touch or remember, they’re all available to purchase in our store in Clonakilty – Finer Details

Happy Crafting.

Until next time,

Victorian Label Punch

Stampin around

Oct 5, 2016

Hey there fellow crafters,

So Autumn has finally arrived to Cork and here in, my DIY day HQ we’re bursting with excitement for the ‘Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness’ - John Keats obviously forgot crafting in his beautiful ode to the season – but that’s where I come in :) because let’s face it, as the days get wetter and the nights longer, crafting can be so comforting.

I’ve recently joined the team here at ‘my DIY day’ and being a lover of all craft and DIY paraphernalia, I’m assuming if you’ve found us then you are too. So, with that in mind, I will be kicking off the month with some DIY ideas & creative tips to help inspire you (& me) on a DIY journey.

The blustery cold wind and fallen leaves have barged into our lives which, of course, to me, means lots of those warm thoughts of DIY’ing, blog posting & tea drinking.

Now we may not be of any help on the tea drinking front but we do have a treasure trove of exciting ways to keep busy.

First up on the list are these Alphabet Stamp Sets - I think I speak for us all when I say; ‘How cool are they?!’

You can create cool tags, cards or notes with either the Upper or Lower case rubber stamp sets. They also make for really nifty gifts, if you’re an early Christmas shopper. But what I really love about them is that they’re a handy size, easy to clean and come in such a cute & compact wooden box.

Next time, I’ll be taking a look at our range of punches (I’ve used one to make the little card tag below) and how you can blow your friends and family away with presents that SCREAM pizzazz!

If you’d like to see our full range of rubber stamps why not visit us here or call in to us at Finer Details in Clonakilty for a closer look.

Also, don’t forget to check in for regular updates on our Facebook Page for new products and exciting DIY’s. If you have any feedback or ideas, do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!

Happy Crafting & Keep stampin :)

Until Next time,

New Shop…New Beginnings

Sep 28, 2016

Some of you know our wedding stationery business Finer Details, well….we are thrilled to say earlier this year Finer Details opened a new shop in Clonakilty, Co. Cork.

Most of my DIY day’s online party pieces can now be found in the shop in Clonakilty, alongside Finer Details own collection of wedding invitations & paper goods.

New stock is arriving regularly and the reaction from our customers is most welcoming…. thank you, thank you!!

Our fabric ‘Alphabet Bunting’ is a big hit for Christenings, Naming Ceremony celebrations & baby gifts.

The ladies in Finer Details are also designing & adding new greeting cards weekly to the shop which can be customised too, with quite a fast turnaround.

We will continue to add to the online shop as we know not everyone can call to the shop, but next time you’re in Clon. do drop by and say hi!

We’re super excited! Busting!!!
